CommunityConnect is a free mobile application developed for local businesses, community groups and individuals to connect, share information, promote events, and access vital emergency resources and educational materials so everyone can be better informed and prepared for potential threat events.

 It has been uniquely crafted for a range of localised users including local residents, absentee landowners, and visitors to the region, providing users the opportunity to:

The app has been developed in partnership with the Northern Grampians Shire Council following a series of community engagements after recent emergency threat events. To find out more about how you can download and engage with your community via the app, please click the relevant information below.

How do I download it?

  1. Download CommunityConnect on your phone or smart device
  2. Select the profile icon in the top right-hand corner
  3. Sign-in using one of the options listed or alternatively select 'Create new account'
  4. Once logged in select 'Directory' from the bottom of the screen
  5. Select 'Create Listing' at the top of the page and follow the prompts to add your listing
  6. Once completed a CommunityConnect Admin will verify and approve your listing

 

Who is going to use the App?

CommunityConnect is aimed at connecting local businesses like yours, community groups, health and education agencies, emergency service agencies, and the general public together in a digital environment.

It is a single destination for people to find relevant and topical information about their local area removing the need for them to review multiple Facebook pages and business websites for the information they’re searching for, whilst also providing them with support materials to aid in their emergency preparedness in high-risk regional areas.   

 

Why should my business use the App?

The primary benefits of being part of CommunityConnect audience include:

  • Obtaining a verified listing that community members can trust;
